A blog about Social Learning, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development and Trends in Online Learning.
I just got back from a great trip to the UK. I had the pleasure of presenting a poster at the Alt C conference in Nottingham, England. The conference was very well attended and there was lots of good conversation about teaching and learning.

One of the most talked about presentations was the keynote given by Donald Clark. He presented a talk titled, "Don’t LECTURE me," which was roundly criticized for violating the title of the topic by lecturing. You can read his take on the way his session went on his blog - http://donaldclarkplanb.blogspot.com/2010/09/tweckled-at-alt_10.html and a response (which there were many) here http://dougbelshaw.com/blog/2010/09/11/a-response-to-donald-clarks-altc2010-keynote/
It was interesting to see the response play out in real time in the backchannel (Twitter Stream) buzzing immediately after the first keynote of the conference. I'll post more about the conference and some of my UK experiences later in the week when I have recovered from traveling.
