Subscribing to a Podcast

Course and Organization members can subscribe to the course podcast within the Podcast tool using either in iTunes or in any other student’s podcatcher (e.g., iTunes or Juuie) or by some other feed aggregator (e.g., Google Reader or Netvibes).

1. Enter a course.
2. Click the Tools link in the course menu frame.
3. Click the Podcast link.
   

Subscribing using iTunes

1. Navigate to the Course/Organization Tools area. 
2. Select the Podcast link.
3. Select .
4. If the External Protocol Request dialog box displays, click the Launch application button.
5. Select the Podcast title and click the Play button to play the content media.
   

Subscribing using Another Application

1. Navigate to the Course/Organization Tools area.
2. Select the Podcast link.
3. Right click .
   If you are using a Macintosh, ctrl+click on the RSS button.
4. If using Firefox as your browser, select the Copy Link Location option.
   If using Internet Explorer as your browser, select the Copy Shortcut option.
5. Launch the application (e.g., Google Reader, Juice).
   
6. Click the Add Subscription link.
7. In the subscription address field, right click and select the Paste option.
8. Click the Add button.
9. Click the Play button to play the content media.

Note: All podcatchers will have a field where RSS links can be inserted to subscribe to feeds. See the help documentation for your podcatcher to determine the appropriate location to paste the link to the feed.
