Recovering Pages

Since the wiki tracks each version of a page as you edit it, you can roll back to a previous version at any time by "reverting" to that version. This function is available from the Page History and View Differences pages.

Restoring a Previous Version of a Page

  1. Click the History link in the sidebar.
  2. Locate the version you wish to recover (i.e., revert to) and click the View Diff button.
  3. Review changes and click the Revert button.

The page you have selected will become the latest version. The page history of the wiki will be updated appropriately to indicate the changes made. Note that you can also recover a page that has been deleted but not permanently deleted by following this same method.

If you return to the page history, you will notice that an additional revision has been made to track your change:

Recovering a Deleted Page

Deleted pages displayed in the Page List

Deleted pages are displayed in a separate list at the bottom of the Page List section. Select a deleted page to review the page and restore it.

Pages that have been deleted, but not permanently deleted, can be restored to the wiki. To restore a deleted page:

  1. Select the Page List link in the sidebar.
The Page List has a Deleted Pages section that appears at the bottom of the list, below all active pages.
  2. In the Deleted Pages section, select the page that should be restored.
You will be directed to the deleted page, which will state that the page has been deleted, along with the name of the person who deleted the page and the date on which it was deleted.
  3. On the deleted page, select the History link in the sidebar.
  4. Select the View Diff button for the version you wish to recover.
  5. Review the contents of that revision to ensure this is the version you wish to restore, then select the Revert button.

The page you have selected will become the latest version of the page, and the page history will be updated appropriately to indicate that the deleted page has been restored.
