Expo File Store

The Expo Store is the directory location on the file system where Expo files are kept. This directory will contain all Expo content, so it is important to ensure that it is on a disk with sufficient space and regular backups. If your system is load balanced, the Expo Store must be set to a shared location that is accessible by each app server using the same path.

 

Set the location for the Expo Store as follows:

1. Navigate to the Admin Panel.
2. Select the Manage Expo LX link.
3. Select the Manage Settings link.
4. Copy the location of the file directory that should be the Expo Store and paste it in the Expo Files Location field.
5. Select the OK button to save the change.

 

Note: Specify the location where Expo files should be stored.

 

Changing the Expo Store location does not move Expo content from the previous location to the new one. If you intend to move all existing Expo content to a new location, you can do that by moving all of the contents of the old Expo Store directory into the new one after changing the setting.

 

If you change the Expo Store, you should immediately restart Blackboard on each of your app servers to ensure that the change takes effect correctly.
