Configure Courses to Index

Administrators can limit which courses are indexed by the Search LX indexer based on course ID patterns. The indexer can be configured as follows:

  • Specify a pattern that must be matched in a course ID using an asterisk (*) as a wildcard.
    Example: HIST*
  • Specify a pattern for courses that should be skipped by the indexer using an exclamation point, often in combination with a wildcard.
    Example: !*Fall2005
  • Specify a regular expression.
    Example: !/.*200[567]/
  1. Navigate to the System Admin tab.
  2. Select the Manage Search LX link.
  3. Select the Configure Courses to Index link.
