Branding

Expo LX allows administrators to customize the text used to label parts of the user interface. This feature can be used to tailor the terminology that end users see.

To modify Expo branding:

1. Click the System Admin tab.
2. Select the Manage Expo LX link.
3. Select the Manage Settings link.
4. Scroll down to the Branding group box on the form.
5. Modify the fields.
6. Click the Submit button on the form.

 

Administrators can modify branding settings for Expo LX.

 

There are three different branding settings that can be changed: Institution Name, Expo Site Name, and the plural form of the Expo Sites Name. This is used in the breadcrumb bar at the top of Expo pages. It usually should be set to the name of the first tab on your Blackboard installation.

 

 

Note: The Expo LX breadcrumb bar indicates what page the user is on and how he/she got there.

 

• Expo Site Name — use this label for an individual Expo Site (for example, "Portfolio," "My Site," or even "Rachelle").
• Expo Sites Name — refers collectively to all of the Expo Sites in the system.

 

If you change the Expo Sites Name field, you may also wish to change the title of the Expo LX portal module to be consistent. You can do this as follows:

1. Click the System Admin tab.
2. Select the Manage Modules link.
3. Find the Expo Sites module in the module list and click its Properties button.
4. Edit the Title field to match the Expo Sites Name setting and click the Submit button.
