This guide contains information and instructions appropriate for general Campus Pack Users and other individuals who have rights and permissions typically associated with the roles of instructors, staff, faculty, students, and/or group members.
Sites are provided with one tagging permission setting, Tag Items. Users granted this sharing permission may add tags to a page, entry, or podcast. Users without this permission do not have access to add or create tags.
A user can be granted permission to tag items. This feature permits a user to add his or her own tags to a page, site, or entry. These tags will then appear in that user's Site Tag area for the site, course, or group and on the page, site or entry where the tag was added.
To set tagging permissions for a site:
1. When creating a site, or by selecting Sharing from a site that already exists, locate the permission set/role to add commenting permissions for and click Edit Permissions.
2. Click to select or deselect the Tagging permission as appropriate.

3. Click Save & Exit to complete the process.
